FEES & CARE PATHWAYS

Supportive Care Protocols & Advanced Therapeutic Approaches

Whether you are seeking integrative medicine as your first approach to healthcare, looking for support alongside conventional medical treatment, or recovering from illness or surgery, every programme of care at Rowan Health begins with understanding you.

Our consultations are designed to assess your health comprehensively and, where appropriate, develop a personalised care pathway tailored to your symptoms, treatment, recovery goals and individual circumstances.

Our Care Pathways

We organise consultations and care pathways according to the type of support you require rather than by individual therapy.

For people seeking a comprehensive, whole-person approach to their health, or those living with chronic or complex conditions, cancer, serious illness or recovering from surgery, we generally recommend beginning with an Integrative Medicine Consultation. This provides the time to carry out a detailed assessment and develop a personalised programme of care.

For people affected by cancer, supportive care is delivered through structured Cancer Support & Survivorship Care Protocols designed around the individual's oncology pathway. Whether preparing for surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, hormonal treatments or recovering after treatment, each protocol is individually tailored according to the person's diagnosis, planned treatment, current symptoms, anticipated side effects, general health and recovery goals.

Where a single therapeutic approach is more appropriate, individual consultations in Medical Homeopathy, Chinese Acupuncture, Manual Therapy, Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation, Medical Qigong, Neuro-Coaching or Athlete Performance are also available.

Every recommendation is discussed with you and tailored to your individual needs, ensuring that the level of care reflects your health goals, clinical situation and personal preferences.

Integrative Medicine

Recommended for most new patients.

Our integrative medicine consultation is the starting point for most people seeking comprehensive, personalised support.

Rather than focusing on a single symptom or therapy, we carry out a detailed assessment of your health, current treatments, medical history and personal goals before developing an individualised care plan.

This pathway is particularly suitable for people living with:

  • Chronic or complex health conditions

  • Persistent or recurring symptoms

  • Multiple health concerns

  • Serious illness requiring supportive care

It is also an excellent first choice for people seeking a truly holistic and individualised approach to their health.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are therapies charged separately? No. Consultations are organised around personalised support protocols rather than individual therapies. Where appropriate, different approaches may be combined within the same consultation without additional therapy-specific charges.

Do I need a diagnosis before booking? No. Many people seek support while investigations are ongoing or before a formal diagnosis has been established.

How many sessions will I need? This varies considerably depending on the individual's circumstances, goals and health challenges. Recommendations are always tailored to the individual.

Do I need a diagnosis before booking? No. While a diagnosis can provide useful information, it is not always necessary before seeking support. Many people contact us because they are experiencing ongoing symptoms and looking for a more personalised approach to understanding and improving their health.

Can I book a consultation for my child? Yes. Children's consultations are available and are adapted to the child's age and specific needs.

Can I book online consultations? Many aspects of support can be provided online. Please contact us to discuss your situation and determine whether online support is appropriate for your needs.

What is included in the initial consultation? The initial consultation is designed to provide a detailed understanding of your health situation and establish the foundations of a personalised support plan. This typically includes: • Review of your medical history • Assessment of current symptoms and health challenges • Discussion of previous treatments and investigations • Identification of priorities, goals and areas of vulnerability • Development of a personalised support protocol • Integrative treatment during the consultation where appropriate • Recommendations and next steps tailored to your situation Initial consultations typically last around 90 minutes, with additional preparation and case review completed before and after the appointment.

What is a personalised support protocol? A personalised support protocol is a structured plan designed around your specific health needs, symptoms, goals and circumstances. Rather than applying the same treatment approach to everyone with a particular diagnosis, we aim to understand the individual as a whole. This may include consideration of: • Current symptoms • Medical history • Existing treatments • Functional limitations • Lifestyle factors • Recovery goals • Areas of vulnerability The protocol is reviewed and adapted over time as your needs and circumstances change. The therapies are tools. The protocol is the intervention.

Do you support people with cancer? Yes. We provide supportive care for people living with cancer before, during and after treatment. Support may be provided during: • Diagnosis and treatment planning • Chemotherapy • Radiotherapy • Immunotherapy • Targeted therapies • Hormonal therapies • Recovery and survivorship Our focus is on helping individuals maintain quality of life, manage treatment-related challenges, support recovery and remain as resilient as possible throughout their cancer journey.

Do you support people with chronic health conditions? Yes. We regularly support people living with chronic and complex health challenges, including: • Long COVID • Chronic fatigue and post-viral conditions • Fibromyalgia • Neurological conditions • Persistent pain • Autoimmune conditions • Multiple co-existing health conditions Support focuses on improving function, resilience, quality of life and adaptation to long-term health challenges.

Do you support people receiving palliative care? Yes. Our palliative and supportive care service focuses on helping people live as well as possible throughout serious illness. Support may focus on: • Comfort and symptom support • Fatigue and sleep difficulties • Mobility and physical function • Emotional wellbeing • Family and carer support • Quality of life Our aim is to help individuals maintain comfort, dignity, independence and meaningful engagement with life wherever possible.

Can family members and carers receive support? Yes. Serious illness and long-term health challenges often affect families as well as patients. Partners, carers and family members frequently experience physical, emotional and practical pressures while supporting a loved one. We recognise the importance of supporting carers throughout the journey and may provide guidance, wellbeing support and personalised care where appropriate. Supporting carers often helps support the patient as well.

Why are Rowan Health consultations different from single-therapy appointments? Many clinics offer individual therapies delivered in separate appointments. At Rowan Health, consultations are organised around personalised support protocols rather than individual therapies. Depending on the individual's needs, different approaches may be combined within the same consultation. This allows support to remain flexible, coordinated and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes rather than following a fixed treatment model. Our focus is not on delivering a particular therapy. Our focus is on understanding the individual, identifying priorities and selecting the most appropriate tools to support their health, recovery and quality of life.
